Job Summary
We're seeking a Vice President, Asia Pacific Project Pursuit & Strategic Accounts, to lead multidisciplinary teams to win Emerson's most strategic global projects. In this role, you will shape winning strategies, orchestrate global resources, build strong executive-level relationships with end users and EPCs, and guide pursuits from concept through awarddriving price premium wins through differentiated value that position Emerson as a preferred solutions partner across the region.
This role will strengthen customer alignment, deepen engagement with end users and EPCs, and elevate Emerson's presence across key industriesincluding traditional hydrocarbon and chemical markets, as well as emerging segments such as sustainability, decarbonization, and metals & mining. The scope includes crossborder opportunities and mega programs exceeding US$50M with multi-division content spanning systems, instrumentation, valves, and project services.
The position reports directly to the VP, Global Project Pursuit Organization, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Asia Pacific World Area President.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Provide executive leadership by managing, mentoring, and coaching a team of Strategic Account Leaders and EPC Account Leaders within a matrixed, multi-BU, multi-region environment to deliver insight-led, value-driven engagement rather than product-centric selling.
- Translate global business priorities into a clear and actionable regional strategies that anticipate market shifts and capture new opportunities across diverse industries and geographies.
- Lead a structured project pursuit process by forming highperforming pursuit teamsincluding world area and divisional sales, proposal teams, project execution, executive leadership, and local partnersto ensure a fully synchronized pursuit with clear goals, defined actions, and strong accountability to win strategic projects.
- Develop winning pursuit strategies, shape commercial architecture, and apply rigorous pursuit methodologies to improve success probability.
- Maximize win rates through differentiated strategies that emphasize customer value creation, competitive positioning, and alignment with Emerson's profitability alignment for global pursuits.
- Build and sustain strong, strategic relationships with end users, EPCs, FEED contractors, OEMs, JV partners, and strategic channel partners - including executivelevel stakeholders - to ensure alignment, collaboration, and longterm value creation from concept through execution.
- Lead stakeholder mapping, influence plans, and early engagement to position Emerson's comprehensive solutions across systems, instrumentation, valves, and services.
- Oversee the identification and qualification of major project opportunities to maintain accurate project funnel and provide reliable input for forecasting.
- Lead the full pursuit lifecycle including pursuit development, proposals, commercial negotiations, and coordinated handover into project execution, delivery, start-up / commissioning and final project hand-off.
- Champion HSSE leadership, embed strong riskmanagement practices, and model a culture of safety and incident reporting.

For this Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1015+ years of sales leadership with a strong track record of winning large, complex, multimilliondollar capital projectsincluding crossborder pursuits and mega programs exceeding USD 50M with multidivision content across systems, instrumentation, valves, and project services.
- Industry exposure across Oil & Gas (upstream/midstream, LNG), Refining, Petrochemicals, Life Sciences, Metals & Mining, and Sustainability/Decarbonization with pursuit experience spanning both traditional hydrocarbon markets and emerging segments.
- Demonstrated success targeting and converting strategic accounts by researching customer business drivers, developing tailored value propositions aligned with Emerson's strengths, and applying professional selling techniques for large capital projectsincluding strategic and consultative selling, presentations, negotiations, conflict resolution, communication planning, and global sales leadership.
- Strong grasp of project execution and EPC practices, including project management and engineering, FEED deliverables, project controls, FAT/SAT, installation and commissioning, documentation, schedule development, management of change, and an understanding of contracting strategies and EPC execution practices and metrics used by global engineering contractors.
- Proven leadership capability with experience managing people, influencing across a matrixed organization including multi-BU and geographically distributed teams - and working effectively in multicultural environments.
- Highenergy, credible communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, able to craft compelling visions and provide clear direction to pursuit teams; fluency in English required.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally extensively, including at short notice.
