Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for providing leadership and strategies in directing respective business teams with the objective of increasing market competitiveness and meeting customers expectation to achieve the BU sales target. There are other responsibilities that include identifying new business opportunity for Intelligent Transport System (ITS) business, reporting the business environment, topics and issues to ITS Strategic Business Unit in Japan and overall management of system and processing, ensuring that they are introduced, designed and reviewed to meet organisaton objectives and S.H.E standards.

Job responsibility

Existing Business Management (ERP/EPS/IU Business)

  • Develop the strategy of existing business to lead the respective business managers for decision making.
  • Conduct market studies to clarify competitive factors to retain good relation with existing customers.
  • Communicate with ITS Strategic Business Unit for sales target and strategy, and establish the goal for each business team.

New Business Development

  • Contact with customers as much as possible in order to seek new business and exchange information.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team in MHI Kobe (MHI-MS) for new proposal scheme to seek possible business opportunity in Singapore Market.

Internal/External Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Global Business Development Group and Global R & I Center to expand new business.
  • Evaluate the partner for any business collaboration

People Management

  • Set the organization target sales and incite each staff member for setting their goals in order to achieve business target.
  • Manage manpower arrangement in terms of recruitment and allocation.
  • Lead, evaluate and motivate the staff members to enhance their professional capabilities.

Job requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years experience in ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) industry
  • Japanese Language proficiency of JLPT N1 or equivalent is mandatory as this role requires the incumbent to communicate with Japanese internal counterparts and external suppliers on a daily basis
  • Ability to lead business teams and direct managers and staff members
  • Understanding of the present ITS industrial information
  • Ability to coordinate with external and internal parties
  • Reporting skill to communicate with Japan
