Job Summary

The Vice President (VP), Entertainment is a strategic and creative leader who is responsible for shaping, developing, and delivering worldclass entertainment experiences across the resort. This role oversees the full entertainment ecosystem, including creative development, producing, directing, technical operations, stage management, costuming, and performance operations. The VP leads multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all entertainment offerings - shows, attractions, immersive experiences, characters, events, and destination programs - are innovative, operationally excellent, financially sustainable, and aligned with the brand vision.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision:

  • Develop and steward the longterm entertainment strategy for the resort, ensuring offerings are fresh, differentiated, culturally relevant, and branddefining.
  • Champion creative innovation while balancing operational feasibility, guest satisfaction, and commercial impact.
  • Drive entertainment roadmaps covering new shows, attraction experiences, seasonal events, and brandbased programs.

Creative Development & Show Leadership:

  • Oversee creative ideation and development of all entertainment concepts, from pitch, story development, treatments, scripts, visual design, and musical direction to finished product.
  • Guide Directors, Producers, and Creative Teams to deliver exceptional show quality and narrative cohesion.
  • Approve all creative deliverables, design packages, and show direction to maintain brand and thematic integrity.

Production, Art & Design:

  • Oversee the production lifecycle across all shows, parades, atmospheric entertainment, and attractionbased experiences.
  • Oversee Production, Art & Design, Scenic, Props, Lighting, Audio, Video, Special Effects, and related creative-technical disciplines.
  • Ensure productions are delivered on time, on budget, and to worldclass entertainment standards.

Licensing, IP & Brand Stewardship:

  • Oversee relationships with IP licensors, brand partners, and external creative collaborators.
  • Ensure creative and operational compliance with licensing requirements, character standards, brand guidelines, and story authenticity.
  • Negotiate and manage entertainment-related licensing agreements.

Entertainment Technical & Operations:

  • Lead Entertainment Technical (lighting, audio, rigging, show control, special effects) to deliver safe, reliable, highquality show execution.
  • Oversee Entertainment Operations and Stage Management to ensure seamless daily show delivery.
  • Establish show quality, maintenance, and technical readiness standards to ensure consistent guest experience.

Costuming & Character Programs:

  • Oversee design, development, fabrication, and maintenance of costumes for performers, characters, and operational teams.
  • Ensure costume safety, durability, comfort, and visual excellence across all show types and seasons.

Performance & Talent Leadership:

  • Oversee recruitment, casting, training, and development of Performers, Musicians, Vocalists, Characters, Star Guides, and interactive entertainment talent.
  • Establish artistic standards, performer guidelines, and show quality programs.
  • Foster a culture that values performer wellbeing, development, and professional excellence.

Operational Excellence & Guest Experience:

  • Ensure daytoday show operations deliver consistent, highquality guest experiences across all entertainment touchpoints.
  • Oversee operational planning for crowd flow, show schedules, venue readiness, and guest interaction strategies.
  • Integrate entertainment into the resort's guest experience journey, including arrival, placemaking, ambiance, and immersive storytelling.

Financial, Resource & Governance Leadership:

  • Develop and manage the entertainment division's annual budget, longer-term financial plans, operating expenses, and capital forecasts.
  • Optimize resource allocation across creative development, production, operations, and talent programs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, safety governance, and risk management across all entertainment activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Themed Entertainment/Event Design and Management or equivalent.
  • 15-20 years of relevant experience in live entertainment, attractions, destination entertainment, or major cultural institutions, with 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong capability in creative development, show direction/producing, and operational entertainment environments.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing largescale productions, technical teams, and talent programs.
  • Ability to collaborate across executive leadership, operations, IP/licensing partners, and creative agencies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience in creating business plans and concept pitches including a complete fiscal budget.
  • In tune with industry trends and technologies, and able to envision and implement new solutions to enhance resort offerings.
  • Strong network of entertainment partners and event organisers.
  • Ability to manage commercial and creative entertainment aspects with prevailing resources.
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to work through issues and provide solutions in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
