Job Summary
Royal Ocean Marine seeks a Vessel Tanker Operations Manager to lead safe, efficient tanker fleet operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and optimizing performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily tanker vessel operations including loading, discharging, and maintenance scheduling to ensure operational efficiency
- Ensure strict compliance with maritime safety, environmental regulations, and company policies to maintain high safety standards
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance and reduce operational costs
- Liaise effectively with port authorities, clients, and contractors to facilitate seamless tanker operations
- Monitor vessel performance metrics and initiate corrective actions to address operational issues promptly
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on vessel operations, performance, and incident records for management review
- Provide leadership and guidance to crew members to uphold safety protocols and operational excellence
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience managing tanker operations or similar maritime roles
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, tanker safety standards, and operational procedures
- Proven leadership and team management skills to direct crew and operational teams
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage stakeholders effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve operational challenges
- Willingness to travel as required and work flexible hours to support operational demands
