We're Hiring a Front of House Assistant Manager

What You'll Be Responsible for:
1. Supervising and leading
- Directing and motivating staff members
- Training and development:
- Onboarding new employees, providing ongoing training, and mentoring staff to improve performance.
- Scheduling and delegation:
- Creating staff schedules, assigning tasks, and delegating responsibilities to ensure efficient operations.
- Performance management:
- Providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues.
2. Operational Oversight:
- Opening and closing procedures:
- Ensuring smooth opening and closing of the restaurant, including setting up, securing the premises, and balancing cash registers.
- Inventory management:
- Monitoring stock levels, placing orders for food and supplies, and managing inventory to minimise waste and ensure availability.
- Food quality and safety:
- Ensuring food is prepared and served according to established standards, and that health and safety regulations are followed.
- Customer service:
- Handling customer complaints, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Financial management:
- Assisting with payment handling, reconciling daily sales, and managing expenses.
3. Communication and Coordination:
- Communication with staff:
- Relaying information from management to staff and vice versa, and ensuring clear communication between different teams (e.g., front-of-house and back-of-house).
- Communication with vendors:
- Interacting with suppliers, placing orders, and managing relationships with vendors.
- Communication with customers:
- Addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
4. Other Responsibilities:
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene: Ensuring the restaurant is clean and well-maintained.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures: Following established guidelines and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Supporting the restaurant manager: Assisting with various tasks and responsibilities as needed by the restaurant manager.
- Immediate availability is a plus

- Good communication skills and a strong command of English
- Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment
