Job Accountabilities
- Post-holder to carry out First Line Testing (FLT) (fiduciary and financial crime) quality assurance on the customer base in accordance with Butterfield procedures and best practice for the Singapore book of business and to escalate results to BTAL management.
- To assist with preparation of management reporting as required in respect of the FLT and to ensure correct data is maintained in Navision in order to ensure accuracy of such reports.
- Post-holder will be responsible for raising and closing action points revcomps relating to the findings of FLT for the TMs to remediate the items identified.
Know-How/Competency Requirements
- Has some experience of trust and company administration, trustee/director responsibilities, banking practices, or auditing and general accounting principles gained through on the job experience with a trust company.
- Ability to read & understand financial statements.
- Familiarity with internet search facilities.
- Excellent written & spoken English, comfortable discussing business matters with all other staff.
Problem Solving Requirements
- Post-holder will be expected to exercise appropriate discretion on immaterial matters, but conversely will be expected to follow material matters to a conclusion, whether this be in their own work, or in the analysis of uncertainties affecting their work.
- Post-holder is encouraged to identify and analyse risk issues that may not be prompted from typical work templates, and to ask if something doesnt add up.
- Post-holder will be required to assist department colleagues and other Butterfield staff in resolving risk & compliance queries.
