Trade Support Executive (Base Metals)

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end trade execution for base metals (e.g., copper, aluminium, zinc), from contract to settlement
• Prepare, review, and manage trade documentation, including contracts, invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documents
• Liaise with traders, counterparties, banks, warehouses, and logistics providers to ensure seamless operations
• Handle and monitor letters of credit (L/Cs), payment terms, and banking documentation
• Track shipments and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery and resolve any operational issues
• Maintain accurate trade records and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and month-end closing activities
• Support process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in trade support, operations, commodities, or shipping/logistics
• Familiarity with trade lifecycle, L/C processes, and shipping documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable handling data and reporting
• Strong attention to detail, organisational, and multitasking skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
