Our client is a leading international commercial bank with a significant global footprint, maintaining branches and offices in multiple countries. They are currently looking for a Trade Finance Specialist to join their team. You will act as a bridge between the front-office sales teams and the back-office processing hubs, performing critical middle-office functions to mitigate operational risk while maintaining high service levels for the bank's corporate client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all trade finance business processes (Import/Export LCs, Guarantees, Collections) in full compliance with global rules and internal risk guidelines.
- Perform technical vetting of Letters of Credit (LC) for import issuance to ensure workability and risk mitigation.
- Review daily reports for matured or pending transactions to ensure timely settlement and prevent liquidity or operational lapses.
- Managing pre-processing and post-processing tasks for trade products.
- Monitor and reconcile transactions processed by the global processing hub to maintain data integrity and quality control.
- Manage the dispatch of client advices via secure email and oversee the digitization of transaction files into the bank's filing systems.
- Provide process-driven, specialized advice to corporate customers, balancing client needs with the bank's operational requirements.
- Support Relationship Managers and the Trade Sales International team (Allrounders, Specialists, and Advisors) by providing pertinent technical information.
- Apply rigorous scrutiny to all transactions in accordance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering), Sanctions, and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
- Ensure all activities align with the latest regulatory mandates and internal Global/Internal Guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Banking, Finance, or Law
- CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) designation is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and data analysis.
- Minimum of 2years of specialized experience in Trade Finance Documentary Business.
