Textile designer

Key Job Scope and Responsibilities:

• Design Development: Create original patterns, prints, and weaves for textiles.
• Technical Design: Use CAD tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Style3D) to create repeat patterns, colorways, and 3D simulations.
• Trend Research: Analyze fashion and interior design trends to inform future collections.
• Material & Production Knowledge: Select appropriate fabrics and work with production teams to ensure designs are technically feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
• Sampling: Produce or oversee the creation of prototypes and samples.
• Collaboration: Liaise with clients, stylists, and manufacturers to align with brand briefs and requirements.

Essential Skills:

• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/Illustrator) and sometimes 3D software.
• Artistic Skill: Strong sense of color, composition, and texture.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of dyeing, printing, weaving, and textile properties.
• Communication: Ability to present designs and work in a team environment.
