Test manager

Role Overview

The Test Manager – Data Domain is responsible for end to end test, planning, execution, and governance of data centric initiatives within UOB. This role ensures data integrity, quality, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across enterprise data platforms including Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Reporting, Analytics, and Regulatory systems. The role operates within the UOB TCOE framework, driving testing standards, best practices, and stakeholder alignment across multiple programs.

Test Management & Governance

• Own and execute the overall strategy for Data domain programs.

• Define test approach, scope, milestones, and entry/exit criteria aligned to UOB TCOE standards.

• Manage end to end testing lifecycle: SIT, UAT, Regression, Data Reconciliation, and Production Validation.

• Govern test deliverables, defect management, risk reporting, and sign off.

Data Domain

• Lead testing efforts across:

o Data Warehouse & Data Lake platforms

o ETL / ELT pipelines

o BI, Reporting, and Dashboards

o Regulatory and Risk Reporting systems

• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, reconciliation, and lineage validation

• Validate source to target mappings, transformations, aggregations, and business rules

• Ensure compliance and internal data governance standards

Stakeholder & Program Management

• Act as primary SPOC for business, technology, compliance, and vendor teams

• Provide regular status, risk, and quality metrics to senior stakeholders

• Drive defect triage, priority alignment, and resolution tracking

• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and management reporting

Test Process & Continuous Improvement

• Enforce TCOE standards, templates, and KPIs across data programs

• Promote automation, reconciliation automation, and data validation tools where applicable

• Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and delivery margins

Testing & Domain Expertise

• 10–14 years of testing experience with 5+ years in Manager role

• Strong experience in Data Testing within BFSI environments

• Hands on expertise in:

o Data Warehouse / Data Lake testing

o ETL testing

o Data reconciliation & validation

o Reporting and dashboard validation

Tools & Technology

• SQL (advanced), data validation techniques

• Experience with databases (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.)

• Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, ALM, qTest, Azure DevOps)

• Exposure to automation tools for data testing is an advantage

Banking & Regulatory Exposure

• Strong understanding of banking data domains (Risk, Finance, AML, Customer)

• Experience working under audit driven and regulatory environments
