Responsibilities
- Oversee cargo operations for Company products, ensuring smooth execution from loading to discharge.
- Manage vessel movements, port activities, and cargo handling to support efficient voyage operations.
- Supervise blending activities and uphold quality standards in line with Company requirements.
- Administer vessel scheduling, chartering arrangements, and compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Track vessel performance, bunker usage, and overall voyage profitability.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cargo quality and quantity.
- Implement strategies to minimize losses during transport and storage.
- Prepare laytime calculations, manage demurrage, and handle related claims.
- Produce voyage profit and loss reports.
- Work with surveyors and inspectors to ensure accurate cargo documentation.
- Monitor recurring loss trends and recommend corrective solutions.
- Conduct vessel vetting and clearance checks with internal departments to ensure safety and compliance.
- Identify and analyze operational costs.
- Compile, update, and deliver operational reports and statistical data to management and other business units.
Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in any field.
- 23 years of experience in oil cargo operations with a trading company or oil major.
- Strong teamwork, initiative, and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a less structured environment.
- Solid knowledge of shipping and operational processes.
