ROLE Summary
The Technician is responsible for maintaining the attraction's technical systems, equipment, exhibits, and facilities to ensure a safe, reliable, and high-quality guest experience. The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, installation work, and project management support across the attraction
- Responsible for maintenance / repair / electrical / electronic equipment or devices on attraction facilities including but not limited to amusement rides, theatre equipment, special effects, AV & lighting, air conditioning, building service, M&E, plumbing & Sanitary, fire services, etc.
- Carry out daily technical inspections before the attraction opens.
- Respond quickly to technical incidents during operating hours
- Communicate equipment faults, operational risks, and repair requirements to the Technical Manager.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to the planned maintenance schedule.
- Troubleshoot equipment faults and complete repairs promptly to minimise operational downtime.
- Identify recurring faults and recommend practical improvements to increase equipment reliability.
- Record inspections, maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and spare-parts usage accurately.
- Maintain tools, workshops, technical rooms, and storage areas in a safe and organised condition.
- Assist contractors and external service providers during maintenance and project work.
- Support events, promotional activities, photo opportunities, and special attraction programmes when required.
- Assist with emergency procedures, evacuation support, and business-continuity activities.
- Perform other reasonable technical duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience and Qualifications
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, diploma, or equivalent qualification in electrical, electronic, mechanical, Building facility, audio-visual, or a related technical discipline.
- Fresh graduates from technical field are welcome
- Previous basic experience in facilities maintenance, attractions, entertainment venues, museums, hotels, retail environments, or similar operations.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment, and maintenance software.
- Relevant electrical, safety, work-at-height, or equipment-operation certification would be an advantage
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being a team player.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings, manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
- Willing to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends, as well as on public holidays.
- Good communication and listening skills.
