Technical Superintendent (LPG)

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to ensure vessel compliance with Class and Flag State requirements.
• Ensure vessels comply with IMS and ISM maintain all statutory certificates as valid at all times.
• Monitor vessel performance and repair schedules attend to and advise on technical issues and repairs.
• Oversee and manage the entire Plan Maintenance Scheme (PMS) for the LPG fleet.
• Prepare vessel budgets, plan for dry-docking, and review associated requirements and costs.
• Supervise dry-docking activities, monitoring performance in terms of cost, quality, and timelines.
• Conduct regular ship inspections, lead reviews of under-performing ships, and follow up on guarantee claims with shipyards.
• Liaise with crew personnel on welfare, assist in audit/inspection readiness, and review technical specifications for newbuildings.

Requirements:

• Certificate of Competency (COC) Class 1 (Chief or 1st Engineer) with sailing experience on fully refrigerated LPG vessels.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Technical Superintendent for LPG vessels, with a stable employment history.
• Strong hands-on experience with 2-stroke engines and familiarity with MEC Engines (preferred).
• Completion of at least 1-2 dry-docking projects proven knowledge of Class, Flag, and Oil Major requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills strong knowledge of PMS, SMS, and regulatory frameworks.
