Technical Superintendent - Electrical

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical assistance and troubleshooting support to assigned vessels, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Supervise and optimize vessel planned maintenance systems, ensuring schedules are followed and improvements are implemented as needed.
• Keep vessel officers updated on the latest statutory requirements and amendments from relevant regulatory bodies.
• Provide technical input for sourcing spare parts and coordinating third-party service engagements.
• Serve as the first alternate for the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and Company Security Officer (CSO) during their absence.
• Temporarily take on the responsibilities of the Head of Technical Services when required.
• Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, maintenance, and technical reports for operational accuracy and audit readiness.
• Carry out additional technical tasks and responsibilities as delegated by the Head of Technical Services.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, supported by relevant certifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in offshore operations, with a strong focus on electrical systems and vessel technical management.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical systems including power generation, distribution, control systems, and offshore electrical operations.
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools, along with experience in preventative maintenance and repair.
• Effective supervisory and communication skills, with experience managing technical teams and coordinating with vessel crew and stakeholders.
