Technical Solutions Engineer Role Overview
This role requires strong ownership, technical depth, and execution ability. You will work on core payment flows, handle integrations, troubleshoot complex issues, and gradually build scalable systems and processes.
Responsibilities
1. Channel Integration & Solution Design
- Integrate with banks, PSPs, and local payment methods
- Design payment flows, mapping, routing, and fallback mechanisms
- Monitor and optimize success rates and system performance
2. Client Integration & Technical Support (To B)
- Support merchants and API clients with onboarding and integration
- Provide documentation and technical guidance
- Troubleshoot and resolve client-side issues effectively
3. Issue Diagnosis & System Optimization
- Analyze transaction failures and system anomalies
- Use SQL, logs, and monitoring tools to perform data analysis and root cause investigation
- Work closely with engineering teams to resolve issues
- Deliver structured root cause analysis
4. Standardization & Scaling
- Build SOPs, playbooks, and documentation
- Automate recurring processes
- Improve team efficiency through abstraction and tooling
Requirements
Must-have
- 3–8 years of experience with a strong technical background (Backend preferred)
- Familiar with APIs (REST/Webhook), async workflows, and system design basics
- Experience in payments, fintech, or cross-border systems
- Strong SQL skills for data querying and analysis; able to independently troubleshoot transaction issues
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Good English communication skills
- High ownership and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience at Airwallex / Stripe / Adyen / PayPal, etc.
- Experience with PSP integration, routing, settlement, or risk systems
- Experience in Web3 / stablecoin / on-ramp / off-ramp
- Experience as a Solution Engineer / Technical Account Manager
