Our client is a reputable global manufacturer and designer of offshore drilling and production equipment. They're now looking for a Proposal Engineer to join their dynamic team.
about the job
- Develop and deliver competitive technical and commercial proposals for industrial automation solutions based on Siemens technologies.
- Understand and interpret client requirements (RFQs, tenders, BOQs, etc.), ensuring alignment with Siemens products and solutions.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, and product management teams to define optimal technical architecture and cost estimation.
- Interface with customers to clarify technical queries, present solutions, and participate in commercial negotiations.
- Support internal processes including project handover, technical documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality proposals under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Continuously update product knowledge in areas such as PLCs, HMI, VFD, SCADA, and industrial networking.
job requirement
- Degree / Diploma in Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial automation specifically in preparing proposals or pre-sales engineering for:
- Siemens PLC (e.g., S7-300/400, S7-1500, G120, S120, G220)
- HMI (e.g., WinCC, TIA Portal)
- VFDs
- SCADA (e.g., WinCC, PCS 7)
- Industrial Ethernet & network devices
- Proposal experience in verticals like Semiconductors, Electronics, Chemical, Pharma, O&G, Data Centers
- Candidate that can commence immediately or within short notice period will be a big plus
