We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to manage the planning, execution, and delivery of heavy technical-based projects. Using the current adoption of process framework and practices, this role will define project resources, manage project progress, and facilitate interaction and tasks of various parties to ensure that project deliverables are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse, plan, and develop requirements and standards in alignment with scheduled projects
- Assign and oversee the daily responsibilities of technical personnel, ensuring alignment with project milestones and productivity expectations
- Facilitate regular technical team meetings to review progress, resolve challenges and maintain alignment across project objectives
- Determine and establish clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for team members involved in specific projects or initiatives
- Conduct research and evaluation of hardware and software technology options, performing cost-benefit analysis to support informed purchasing decisions
- Train Engineers to fulfil posted positions within the technical department
- Establish and implement training processes and strategies for technical personnel
- Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of production technologies, ensuring proper installation, functionality, and long-term reliability
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of technical project management experience in applications, infrastructure (Network/ Security/ System), and compliance
- Certified IT Program Management Professional (PgMP), Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Good working knowledge in networking, where relevant technical certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, or equivalent) would be an added advantage
- Strong understanding of application development, infrastructure, and IT security
- Proven expertise in Project Management methodologies, processes and strategies, with a strong track record of managing complex technical projects from planning to execution and delivery.
- Experienced in mentoring, coaching, and developing emerging talent within the technology department
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with experience establishing effective framework and guidelines to support team productivity
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards relevant to the organization&aposs operations
- Strong communicator with a proactive mindset, capable of anticipating challenges and mitigating risks to maintain project momentum
- Experienced in leading cross-functional teams, promoting teamwork, and driving accountability in decision-making and execution
- Proficient in requirements analysis, solution design, and applying analytical thinking to solve technical challenges and ensure successful project delivery
