A. Overall Purpose of the Job
The Technical Project Manager (Infrastructure) is responsible for leading infrastructure-related initiatives and lifecycle management projects. The role involves driving end-to-end project delivery from conceptualization and solutioning through implementation before handing over to operations.
The TPM will oversee technical implementation in line with the Statement of Work (SoW), ensuring outcomes are achieved in close collaboration with business stakeholders and infrastructure teams.
B. Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, and resource requirements.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures.
- Lead and manage RFP/tender processes when required, including documentation, evaluation, and vendor selection.
- Oversee implementation to ensure successful achievement of project objectives.
- Manage vendor and supplier contracts by assigning tasks, monitoring deliverables, and ensuring compliance with agreements.
- Coordinate tasks across stakeholders, teams, and vendors to drive progress and mitigate risks.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders, including the Project Steering Committee and Technology Steering Committee, on project status, changes, and outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to established project management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Facilitate smooth transition of completed projects into operations.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts effectively while staying focused on deliverables.
C. Job Profile
1. Required Skills and Knowledge
- 5 to 10 years of project management experience handling enterprise-wide technology upgrade or refresh projects.
- Experience in delivering large-scale ICT infrastructure projects, particularly in Servers & Storage, Networks, Security, and Disaster Recovery.
- Ability to manage projects in complex multi-vendor environments and matrix organizations.
- Strong knowledge of networking and infrastructure operations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with IT service delivery and management frameworks.
- Familiarity with tendering processes, including Request-for-Proposal (RFP) and Request-for-Quote (RFQ).
2. Required Competencies
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and lifecycle phases.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in dynamic environments.
- Pragmatic, adaptable, and self-driven mindset to achieve project outcomes.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and managing roadblocks to maintain focus on deliverables.
- Ability to manage project compliance, governance adherence, and document/track project scope, changes, issues, and risks.

3. Required Work Experience
- Hands-on experience planning, scheduling, tracking, and executing infrastructure projects, including enterprise-wide technology upgrades, refreshes, or IT transformations.
- Ability to manage projects across multi-vendor environments and matrix organizations.
- Experience presenting project progress, risks, and recommendations to senior governance bodies such as Project and Technology Steering Committees.
- Experience documenting and tracking project scope, changes, issues, and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Exposure to on-premises migrations or large-scale ICT infrastructure projects, with prior experience in Network, Security Operations, or infrastructure-related roles as an advantage.
- Familiarity with tendering processes (RFP/RFQ) and vendor evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate team collaboration, resolve conflicts, and drive successful project delivery in dynamic environments.
4. Required Qualifications
- Education: Degree in IT or equivalent.
- Professional Certifications:
- Project Management Certification (CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
