Job Description

1. Project & Technical Oversight

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate all technical aspects of projects from planning to completion.

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements to ensure compliance.

  • Monitor technical performance and ensure work quality meets industry standards and client expectations.

  • Provide technical solutions and resolve site issues promptly.

2. Team Management

  • Supervise engineers, supervisors, and technical staff.

  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of work.

  • Conduct training or skill-development sessions for team members.

  • Ensure proper manpower planning and resource allocation.

3. Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the key technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and authorities.

  • Attend site meetings and present technical updates and solutions.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on technical matters.

4. Planning & Coordination

  • Prepare technical work plans, schedules, and method statements.

  • Ensure coordination between different trades and departments.

  • Evaluate material submittals and shop drawings before submission.

  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment related to technical requirements.

5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all works comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Implement quality control procedures and monitor site inspections.

  • Review and approve testing & commissioning plans.

  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audits and inspections.

6. Safety Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Safety Department to ensure safe work practices.

  • Identify technical risks and implement preventive action plans.

  • Ensure the team complies with safety regulations and permit-to-work requirements.

7. Cost & Budget Management

  • Monitor project costs related to materials, equipment, and technical works.

  • Propose cost-saving methods without compromising quality or safety.

  • Assist in preparing variation orders, technical proposals, and reports.

8. Reporting

  • Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and incident reports.

  • Update management regularly on project status, risks, and solutions.
