Technical Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and management of technical documentation, reports, and records related to vessel operations.
• Support the Technical Manager/Superintendent in monitoring vessel maintenance, dry-docking, and repair schedules.
• Coordinate procurement of spare parts, equipment, and consumables for vessels in compliance with company policies.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely updates of maintenance logs, safety reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.
• Assist in tracking and updating vessel certificates, inspections, and class approvals.
• Liaise with suppliers, shipyards, and service providers to facilitate technical support and procurement.
• Maintain a database of spare parts and inventory for efficient stock management.
• Provide administrative support for technical teams, including scheduling meetings and preparing presentations.
• Assist in incident reporting, analysis, and follow-up actions as per company safety policies.
• Stay updated on maritime regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the maritime, shipping, or offshore industry.
• Familiarity with vessel operations, maintenance schedules, and classification society requirements.
• Proficiency in using fleet management software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
