Job Summary
You will own and operate key application products, managing patching and support while designing and maintaining enterprise container and web architectures. Collaborate on integration and security to ensure robust, scalable IT solutions.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of one or two application products, managing operational tasks such as patching and application support to ensure system stability and performance
- Configure and maintain WebSphere servers in high-availability (HA) mode in production environments
- Manage and maintain enterprise container architectures, including 3-tier systems, supporting up to 100 environments per site
- Participate in application architecture sessions to provide integration inputs on Web services, government interfaces for IBM MQ messaging, and SFTP
- Design, implement, and administer enterprise Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift and Cloud Foundation to support containerized applications
- Provision containers, manage container images and repositories, and deploy container-centric services following lifecycle best practices
- Maintain enterprise web application and microservices architectures at scale to ensure high availability and performance
- Apply DevSecOps tooling and automation to streamline development and operational workflows
- Define and implement operational processes including OS-level patching, application patching, housekeeping, archival, backup, and recovery
- Apply government-level security practices for system hardening, vulnerability scanning, and maintaining a strong security posture
- Administer AWS environments to support cloud infrastructure needs
- Design and implement enterprise container applications on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms to enable scalable containerized capabilities
- Administer and troubleshoot IBM MQ messaging products, including queue managers, queues, and channels, ensuring reliable message integration and operation
