Technical Accountant (Financial Services)

We are currently partnering with a global Financial Services firm who operate within the digital asset space.

They are looking to hire a Technical Accountant into the Finance team, to support on all aspects of accounting advisory, policy and ensuring up-to-date knowledge of all accounting and regulatory changes.

This role will be responsible for supporting the following:

• Research and analyse accounting issues, market trends, and regulatory updates, including the impact on financial statements, cash flow, and reporting.
• Provide guidance on business processes, internal controls, and compliance with accounting and regulatory changes.
• Advise the finance team on complex technical accounting matters.
• Update and maintain the Groups accounting policies to reflect current standards.
• Act as a key contact for internal teams and external stakeholders on accounting topics.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business
• CPA / CA Qualification highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years experience in accounting or technical accounting (this can be coming straight from Big 4 audit)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills and experience in financial instrument valuation would be an advantage.
