Job Summary
Deliver engaging lessons and tutorials aligned with the syllabus, manage assessments, and support student success through effective classroom management and student-centered instruction at TMC Academy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lessons, tutorials, and practical classes aligned with the course syllabus to facilitate student learning outcomes
- Mark and moderate coursework and assessment papers to ensure accurate evaluation of student progress
- Prepare examination-related reports documenting student performance and assessment outcomes
- Conduct invigilation duties to uphold examination integrity and compliance with regulations
- Provide supervision and consultation to students to support their academic development and address individual learning needs
- Deliver timely and constructive feedback on class performance to the Academic Director or designated personnel
- Execute administrative tasks related to teaching subjects as assigned by the Academic Director or designate to support academic operations
- Participate actively in departmental and organizational meetings to contribute to academic planning and improvement
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Academic Director or designate to support the institution's educational objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in elementary and/or secondary schools, or equivalent
- Experience teaching in tutorial centres for primary and secondary students
- Demonstrated success in preparing students for CEQ/AEIS examinations
- Proven ability to deliver lessons systematically with strong presentation skills to engage students effectively
- Effective classroom management skills to maintain a productive and positive learning environment
- Positive and patient disposition to foster supportive and encouraging student interactions
- Proactive adoption of student-centered instructional methods to enhance learning engagement
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team and with students
- Adaptability to different working conditions while maintaining a positive team spirit
- Positive attitude towards work and related responsibilities
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Relevant degree and teaching credentials
- Familiarity with the MOE syllabus to align teaching content with national standards
- Experience teaching students who are speakers of languages other than English
- Experience or interest in teaching AEIS/O-Level subjects (English, E.Math, A.Math, Physics, POA and Chinese)
