Regional Tax Manager (Manufacturing Industry)

Location: West Region, Singapore

Reports to: Senior Finance Director

Our client is seeking an experienced Regional Tax Manager to lead tax strategy, compliance, and governance across Asia, including China, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India.

This is a newly created role, and the candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all regional tax structures, policies, and operations align with corporate tax strategy, local legislation, and evolving international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Policy Development & Governance

  • Oversee and enhance tax governance models across Asia in accordance with corporate tax strategy and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement corporate tax structures and audit defense strategies to ensure compliance and mitigate tax risks.
  • Monitor legislative developments to maintain compliance and proactively manage tax exposure.

Tax Planning & Advisory

  • Provide strategic tax advice on business restructuring, M&A, investments, and cross-border transactions.
  • Support management decision-making with tax insights that align with business objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate tax risks and opportunities for optimization.
  • Participate in regional tax incentive initiatives and ensure compliance with incentive requirements.

Transfer Pricing

  • Ensure full compliance with group transfer pricing policies and local requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and related analyses.
  • Manage Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and oversee compliance with BEPS Pillar 2 and related global tax initiatives.

Tax Compliance & Coordination

  • Manage the tax positions and compliance processes of all Asia entities.
  • Coordinate with finance teams, tax authorities, and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Maintain robust tax documentation and reporting in accordance with corporate and statutory standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance,
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge of international and cross-border taxation within Asia.
  • Proven experience liaising with tax authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Sound understanding of transfer pricing principles and regulations.
  • Strong analytical, advisory, and project management capabilities.
  • Able to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (to support China operations).
