Join our regional tax team based in Singapore and play a pivotal role in supporting the business while managing complex tax matters across Singapore and the Asia Pacific region. As a Tax Manager, you will act as a key business partner, providing hands-on tax advice on day-to-day operations and complex transactions, overseeing compliance, and leading tax audits, disputes, and litigation. The role also involves supporting sophisticated regional initiatives, including M&A, restructuring, and cross-border structuring.
What You'll Do

- Manage and advise on complex Singapore tax issues, including corporate income tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax, GST, cross-border transactions, permanent establishment risks, and evolving regulatory developments.
- Oversee corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and indirect tax compliance across Singapore and selected Asia Pacific jurisdictions, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with group tax positions.
- Lead end-to-end tax controversy management, including audits, disputes, and litigation; develop technical positions, manage communications with tax authorities, and work closely with external advisors to defend the company's tax profile.
- Provide tax support on complex and high-impact projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, group restructurings, post-deal integration, and international structuring, delivering practical, risk-balanced recommendations.
- Proactively monitor developments in Singapore and regional tax laws, assess potential impacts on the business, and translate technical changes into clear guidance for stakeholders.
- Partner closely with regional and global tax teams to ensure consistent application of tax policies and effective management of tax risks across jurisdictions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or Law; professional qualifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
- Approximately 10-12 years of relevant tax experience, ideally combining Big 4 or equivalent professional services with in-house multinational experience.
- Deep technical expertise in Singapore tax, with hands-on experience advising on complex tax and business issues.
- Proven experience in managing tax audits, disputes, and litigation, with confidence in engaging directly with tax authorities and external counsel.
- Strong exposure to cross-border tax matters and Asia Pacific jurisdictions; experience with emerging markets such as Indonesia or the Philippines is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to provide practical tax support to business and commercial teams in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex tax issues into commercially sound advice.
- Proactive, resilient, and solutions-oriented, with strong judgment and the ability to balance risk management with business objectives.
