We are looking for a passionate individual to take on the role of Talent Director based in Singapore. This person will have vision, the ability to build strong & confident relationships across the group and take on this high-profile challenge. We will look to you for strategic Talent & Human Resources leadership and taking the lead with staff relations, but you should also be happy to get your hands dirty in day-to-day operations.
You will report to the Regional Chief Talent Officer. You will be part of the Executive Committee and will partner with the CEO, MDs and the senior management team as well as the Regional Talent Team. You'll be responsible for talent management, strategy, initiatives and activities for McCann Worldgroup, which encompasses the disciplines of McCANN, MRM, McCann Health, Momentum and Craft.
You will be responsible to:
· Lead and inspire a national Talent team to enable the delivery of our strategic Talent plan
· Develop and coach managers to shape a high performing culture and drive behavioral change around our values
· Lead local L&D initiatives with understanding of business strategy and local culture to deliver maximum impact to the business
· Provide counsel and develop the local Talent strategy in conjunction with the senior management team
· Be the thought leader for Talent & HR in conjunction with the Regional Chief Talent Officer and become a local industry voice in order to raise our profile
· Build and foster rapport with agency staff and managers at all levels by developing a thorough understanding of our businesses, culture, organisational structure and talent

WHAT ARE THE TALENT DIRECTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for the driving best practice across MWG's employee life cycle including attraction, engagement, development, retention and reward.
Attraction
· Work collaboratively with senior management and external market providers to develop and implement a national recruitment and talent resourcing strategy
· Assist heads of department in the recruitment to ensure new employees fit the company's culture and vision
· Be the lead and eventual expert user for the implementation of an Applicant Tracking System within your markets
Engagement
· Implement a best in class on-boarding experience
· Be the key point of contact for all new joiners throughout their initial engagement period
· Help build a culture of inclusion
Learning & Development
· Instil appropriate behaviours, be passionate about our culture and manage talent through our values and performance development programs
· Have responsibility along with the HOC and Regional L&D Director for the individuals and team responsible for learning and development and provide advice to the management on new training initiatives
· Work in partnership with the Regional L&D Director to localize existing programs for your market
· Drive and promote the use of a proprietary learning management platform
Retention
· Facilitate Performance Review process; assist managers to deliver meaningful feedback and evaluate appropriate increase recommendations based on performance of internal and external salary equity.
· Drive the High Potential program across the country.
Reward
· Review current practices and implement competitive options for attractive and flexible compensation & benefits.
· Assist senior managers in negotiating packages for current staff and new joiners.
· Work closely with the Regional CFO to make sure we work to offer consistent packages across APAC to promote global mobility.
You will also have functional responsibilities across key areas:
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
· Provide expert advice and coach managers in resolving employee relations issues including but not limited to performance management, redundancy, disciplinary and grievance, leave requests, terminations and compromise agreements
· Keep abreast of trends and developments that impact Human Resource responsibilities.
· Continually expanding knowledge base incorporating trends, legal developments, etc.
HR & Talent Team Management
· Responsible for managing the Talent & HR team
· Create a team environment that facilitates: mutual respect and partnership; strategic thinking; appropriate risk taking; open lines of communication between team members; on-going performance feedback; professional development, and adherence to agency policy
· Be responsible for the implementation and management of any manual or online-based Talent Management Systems & Tools developed globally, regionally or locally.
WHO ARE YOU
To be successful in this role, you will either need to come in with the skills and experiences below, or be positioned to quickly master them:
Education and Experiences
· Degree calibre ideally with a degree in or Business Management, Human Resources, or Psychology
· 12 years of relevant experience.
· Experience with providing business focused and user friendly solutions
· Experience of managing a small, but incredibly busy team, HR or otherwise
Experience with Digital marketing agency is a must
Knowledge, behaviours and skills
· Deep knowledge of HR management principles and practices across all aspects of the Talent & HR functions within an agency
· Ability to function as a strategic member /advisor of/to senior management team
· Strong influence and decision making skills
· The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships across the organisation ranging from senior management to employees
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and present at all levels of the organisation (both written and verbal)
· Must be flexible, adaptable and used to multi-tasking
· Phenomenal prioritisation skills
· Great attention to detail and able to always provide accurate work
· Someone who is naturally proactive and shows initiative
· Someone who is utmost ethical and completely trustworthy
