The engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, fence intrusion detection systems(FIDS) and end-user IT equipment such as laptops and desktop computers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in design, install, and maintain CCTV, access control and perimeter intrusion detection (FIDS) systems
- Configure and support IP cameras, NVRs & DVRs and video management systems (VMS)
- Manage card access systems (controllers, readers, biometric devices, credentials)
- Assist in deploy and maintain FIDS technologies (sensor cables, IR beams, electric fence systems)
- Integrate CCTV with access control and FIDS for centralized monitoring and alarm handling (iSMS)
- Perform laptop and desktop troubleshooting including:
- OS installation and configuration (Windows/Linux)
- Hardware diagnostics (RAM, HDD & SSD, motherboard, peripherals)
- Software installation, updates, and issue resolution
- Virus/malware removal and system optimization
- Provide basic network support (IP configuration, LAN/WAN connectivity, Wi-Fi issues)
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Perform preventive maintenance and periodic system health checks
- Maintain documentation (network diagrams, system configurations, asset inventory)
- Provide technical support and user assistance
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers
