Role Summary

Lead System Analyst - Tokenized Deposits Platform at United Overseas Bank

A senior role responsible for designing and delivering a blockchain-based tokenized deposits platform, integrating digital assets with core banking and payment systems while ensuring security, compliance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Design & Analysis

• Design end-to-end token lifecycle (issue, transfer, lock, redeem)

• Define user journeys, workflows, and system behavior

• Ensure proper reconciliation with banking systems

2. Blockchain + Banking Integration

• Integrate DLT (blockchain) with core banking systems

• Design on-chain & off-chain settlement flows

• Support domestic and cross-border payments

3. Architecture & APIs

• Define:

  • Smart contract interactions

  • APIs (REST/event-driven)

  • Token standards & metadata

• Ensure scalable, resilient system design

4. Compliance & Risk

• Align with regulatory requirements (MAS, AML, Travel Rule)

• Ensure audit trails, monitoring, and security controls

• Support fraud and transaction monitoring integration

5. Delivery & Team Support

• Lead analysis across Agile teams

• Guide developers on business logic & edge cases

• Support testing (multi-currency, settlement, failures)

6. Stakeholder Management

• Work with Payments, Treasury, Compliance, Tech teams

• Coordinate with vendors (DLT, custody, platforms)

• Communicate technical designs clearly

Key Requirements

Experience

• 7-12+ years in system analysis (payments domain preferred)

• Experience in:

  • Payments (Direct Debit, eMandate, etc.)

  • Banking integrations & ledger systems

Technical Skills

• API design (REST, JSON, Swagger)

• Microservices architecture

• Event-driven systems (Kafka or similar)

• System modeling (state machines, workflows)

• High availability & low-latency systems

Domain Knowledge (Important)

• Blockchain / DLT basics

• Digital assets:

  • Tokenized deposits

  • Stablecoins

  • CBDC

• Payment systems & settlement flows
