System Analyst

Responsibilities:

. Work closely with the BA, infra, deployments and vendor teams.

. Use and manage vendor augmented resources and ensure work assignments for high utilization and effective, quality outcomes while avoiding re-work

. Drive technical innovation to enhance functional and technical capabilities of the platform

. Build frameworks for configuration instead of code for each component

. Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive

. Apply standards and industry frameworks while leverage existing technologies and tools in the Bank

. Implement solutions considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.

. Produce detailed design /low level design documents that communicate the system design effectively

. Drive adherence to development, configuration management and deployment standards for solutions

. Analyse performance test, vulnerability assessments and any other test related issues that arise during projects

. Manage, address and resolve project-related technical issues in a timely fashion, ensuring necessary escalation and communication to stakeholders as necessary

. Select, train, develop and manage technical team members in a conducive team environment

. Lead multi-vendor teams to successfully deliver solutions

. Guide the project team in issue resolution to meet the requirements and timelines

Requirements:

Education:

• Degree with 8-10 years of current, hands on technical experience

Essential:

• Go getter attitude with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Solid understanding of:

o AIX O/S and/or RedHat platform and scripting skills

o Java and internet-related components (i.e: JSON, XML)

o iPlanet, WebSphere, WebLogic, Database, Sql

o DevOps suite of products (i.e: Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, Aldon, etc)

o Connect Direct, SFTP, basic UNIX commands

o Perf tuning and automation in general Working knowledge of microservice implementation, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and Kafka.

• Experience of complete software development lifecycles - waterfall and agile project experience
• General understanding of banking and knowledge and application of banking technology and regulations/compliance
• Understanding of data security, privacy, data protection, regulatory and compliance procedures
• Strong oral communication and writing skills
• Strong team building, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Passionate and results orientated
