About Our Client
Our client is a global bank with a strong presence across Asia and continued investments into its regional platform. As the organisation scales and evolves, it is strengthening its governance and risk oversight capabilities to support sustainable growth.
They are now looking to appoint a senior leader within Group Governance, Risk & Compliance to play a key role in shaping governance standards and enhancing oversight across the region. This is a high-visibility role working closely with senior leadership and the Board.
Key Responsibilities
• Support senior management committees on governance and risk-related matters
• Provide strategic input on governance, risk culture, and conduct across the organisation
• Strengthen and evolve group-wide governance and risk frameworks
• Drive the integration of non-financial risks into broader risk management practices
• Oversee risk appetite and ensure effective monitoring of key risk indicators
• Ensure strong regulatory reporting and engagement with relevant stakeholders
• Lead initiatives to enhance governance standards, accountability, and risk culture
• Support business management activities including planning, communications, and coordination
Requirements
• 15+ years of experience in enterprise risk, governance, or compliance within financial services
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks and regulatory expectations
• Experience managing non-financial risks such as conduct or culture-related risks
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including at Board level
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical frameworks
• High integrity, sound judgement, and strong leadership presence
