Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the supply chain operations of our company. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain processes, from procurement and inventory management to distribution and logistics, ensuring that our operations run efficiently, cost-effectively, and meet customer expectations. Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute supply chain strategies to meet business objectives, optimizing inventory levels, procurement processes, and logistics functions.
- Procurement Management: Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and goods.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory, while improving cash flow.
- Logistics & Distribution: Oversee the logistics and distribution networks, ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and delivery of goods to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Demand Forecasting: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to forecast demand and adjust supply chain activities accordingly to meet changing customer needs.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting: Track and report key supply chain metrics (e.g., lead times, fill rates, transportation costs) to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes, leveraging lean methodologies, automation, and best practices to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including disruptions in supply, geopolitical challenges, and fluctuations in demand, ensuring business continuity.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal quality control procedures to maintain operational excellence and meet customer requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., production, finance, sales, and customer service) to align supply chain activities with overall business goals and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role. Experience in [industry specific to the company] is preferred.
- Supply Chain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in demand forecasting, data analysis, and using supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Vendor & Relationship Management: Proven experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and working closely with third-party logistics providers.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing a team, fostering a collaborative work environment, and driving performance.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with supply chain management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adjust to changing priorities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
- International Experience: Experience managing global supply chains, including international logistics, cross-border compliance, and import/export regulations.
- Process Improvement: Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
