Job Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating, supervising and planning maintenance activities carried out by the contractors for all related equipment and systems in order to meet the required objectives.
- Assist with implementing and enforcing safe work practices and establishing and updating the activity-based Risk Assessment for the team.
- Responsible for the upkeeping of all equipment, tools and maintaining updated inventory of all spares and supplies for the team.
- Propose essential reliability improvements to the systems.
- Be on 24/7 readiness for any emergency calls such as fire, power outages, floods, or incidents that warrant immediate attention.
- Closely monitor the effectiveness of servicing and maintenance as well as the condition and performance of equipment.
- Ensure that all essential maintenance/testing records are documented and stored properly. This includes ensuring proper updating of work orders, checklists and required forms in accordance with the department's requirements.
- Work with the Senior Technicians and Technicians to ensure that the routine maintenance and urgent repair works are in accordance with the checklists and/or best engineering practices while adhering to occupational health and safety regulations.
- Assist with all team member relation's issues and to administer appropriate disciplinary measures, when necessary, in accordance with MBS guidelines.
- Assist with the training programs for all the team members.
- Supervise all contractors engaged for any repair works to ensure their works are in compliance with the required specifications and standards.
- Carry out physical inspections on all respective systems, plant rooms and equipment within the property to ensure that they are maintained in good condition.
- To be responsible for the planning of roster duties for the Senior Technicians and Technicians.
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- Diploma holder or Higher Nitec in/Certifications in facilities management Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other faculty,
- Employment Certificate or Work Testimony, any specialized Certifications will be an added advantage
- Able to read as-built drawing.
Experience
- More than 5 years of relevant / related working experience in a supervisory role.
- Preference will be given to those with experience in a related hospitality industry.
- Have an intimate knowledge of all related HVAC systems, their operation and potential weaknesses.
Other Prerequisite
- Possess good communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills, with an eye for detail.
- Ability to get along and work as a team with fellow Team Members.
- Be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Be willing to work any day of the week and any shift, long hours when necessary.
- Have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
