Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Plan and manage all structural works including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and structural frames

  • Review structural drawings, method statements, and specifications before work starts

  • Coordinate structural activities with architectural, M&E and civil teams

  • Prepare structural work schedules aligned with the master construction programme

2. Site Supervision & Management

  • Lead and supervise structural engineers, supervisors, and foremen

  • Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and construction methods

  • Monitor daily site progress and resolve technical issues

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design and quality standards

3. Structural Quality Control

  • Ensure compliance with structural specifications and design requirements

  • Supervise inspections for Reinforcement works, Formwork installation, Concrete pouring and structural steel installation

  • Review test reports, cube test results, and inspection records

4. Safety Management

  • Ensure structural works comply withWorkplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations

  • Enforce safe work procedures during Formwork erection, Reinforcement installation, Lifting operations and Concrete casting

  • Coordinate with WSH Officers and safety teams to reduce site hazards

5. Resource & Subcontractor Management

  • Manage structural subcontractors and suppliers

  • Monitor manpower, equipment, and material usage

  • Evaluate subcontractor performance and ensure work quality

6. Technical Problem Solving

  • Resolve structural construction issues such as Reinforcement clashes, Formwork defects, Structural deviations and Concrete defects

  • Liaise with structural consultants and project engineers for design clarifications

7. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and review Structural work method statements, Inspection checklists, Progress reports, Material approvals

  • Maintain records for QA/QC and regulatory compliance

8. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with Structural consultants, Main contractors, Subcontractors, Clients and Authorities

  • Attend technical meetings and project coordination meetings

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction

  • Experienced in Reinforced concrete structure, Structural steel works, High-rise or large-scale construction projects

  • Strong understanding of Structural drawings and calculations, Reinforced concrete works, Structural steel installation, Construction sequencing, formwork and scaffolding

  • Leadership and team management

  • Problem-solving and technical decision making

  • Project planning and scheduling

  • Quality control and inspection
