About the Role

To play a key role in contributing towards company's growth, particularly in the areas of monitoring of key strategic KPIs, progress of strategic initiatives, and special cross-functional strategic projects.

  • Be responsible for the preparation and consolidation of financial results, business commentaries and materials for regular reporting to various management committees (e.g. regular business updates for EXCO, monthly/quarterly business review sessions with Group Office).

  • Prepare communication materials on the business performance highlights for the company that will be used for various purposes, such as company results announcement, staff or agency events.

  • Work closely with various divisions, and provide support in business performance analysis that enable meaningful discussion and formulation of strategic initiatives by EXCO.

  • Monitor the progress of key strategic initiatives as part of the regular updates provided to EXCO.

  • Perform in-depth competitor analysis, industry benchmarking and research for timely periodic communication to EXCO and Group.

  • Keep abreast of key market trends, risks and opportunities.

  • Provide support for the maintenance and enhancement of key management dashboards developed using Business Intelligence tools.

  • Provide support for the strategic planning process by collaborating with various departments to ensure quality and timeliness of their submissions.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance or Actuarial or other related professional qualification

  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of financial management / strategic planning experience and a proven successful track record, ideally in a high growth business environment

  • Possess an in-depth understanding of the financial field, demonstrated experience in budget and profitability management

  • Strong understanding of insurance business management, ideally in the management of non-financial functions such as product development, operations or distribution

  • Able to work independently and in a team, as well as being proactive and constantly striving for excellence

  • Able to communicate and influence effectively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) to draw insights is essential
