Job Description

The Strategic Partnerships, Planning & PMO Manager, AMEA will play a critical role in supporting the corporate planning and strategic partnership functions within the organization. This position requires a seasoned professional who can support the development of corporate strategies, drive successful execution of key strategic initiatives, projects and partnerships, and collaborate cross-functionally.

Key Geographic Scope: AMEA (Asia, Middle East and Africa)

Key responsibilities:

1. Strategic Partnerships (40%)

  • Support identification and sourcing of new potential partners.
  • Evaluate new potential partners, through defining criteria for partners, conducting relevant research and due diligence.
  • Build and validate business plan and financial forecast for partnerships.
  • Communicate regularly with potential partner stakeholders on progress of discussion.
  • Coordinate partnership negotiation and due diligence process with key senior management, business leaders and relevant stakeholders, to progress partnership to signed agreement or other outcomes.

2. Corporate Planning (40%)

  • Work closely with executive leadership to develop and refine the corporate strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and drive strategic business presentations to senior leadership and management, incorporating stakeholder input into final deliverables.
  • Lead and facilitate strategic planning & goals setting with cross-functional regional and country executive leadership and team members.
  • Build and present business cases for key strategic initiatives for senior management assessment and approval.
  • Structuring ideas for new strategic initiatives or projects, at the same time incorporating stakeholder input and obtaining alignment.
  • Drive and manage new strategic initiatives or projects from end-to-end, from designing the workplan and expected output, conducting effective analyses, synthesizing key findings regularly to stakeholders, to final wrap-up and hand-off of the project.
  • Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.

3. Strategic Projects, as part of Program Management Office PMO (20%, or on ad hoc basis by quarter)

  • Role as either project coordinator, or project lead to drive strategic projects in AMEA above a certain revenue threshold, including project governance and performance reporting.
  • Define and share standards for project management methodologies, execution quality and escalation mechanisms.
  • Present project status and risk mitigation plans to relevant senior stakeholders (eg CEO, project sponsor, relevant LT) in AMEA.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field Medical degree or PhD in related field preferred
  • 4 years of experience in corporate strategy and / or management consulting in a related field (pharma, diagnostics, or healthcare)
  • Clinical diagnostics and precision oncology experience in an AMEA context
  • Deep understanding and familiarity with the company's products and services
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including experience with financial modeling, market research, and data analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present to senior leadership
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and drive multiple projects to completion simultaneously
  • Self-starter with initiative to identify new opportunities, structure and solve problems, able to work independently and thrive in ambiguity
