Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate records of all spares in the store.
- Ensure proper receipt, storage, and issuance of spare parts and materials as per company procedures.
- Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and annual inventory audits.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely reordering of critical spares.
- Manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory, providing recommendations for disposal or reuse.
- Drive continuous improvement of existing inventory management systems.
- Conduct annual stocktake in line with accounting requirements.
2. Store Operations & Housekeeping
- Supervise day-to-day store operations, ensuring materials are organized, labeled, and stored safely.
- Implement proper handling, preservation, and storage of sensitive spares (e.g., bearings, electrical/electronic parts).
- Maintain housekeeping standards and 5S practices, ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation for Goods Receipt, Goods Issue Slips, Return Notes, and Gate Passes.
3. Coordination & Support
- Work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure the availability of required spares for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Vendors for timely delivery and warranty claims.
- Support shutdown/turnaround activities by ensuring availability and staging of spares.
4. System Management & Reporting
- Update and manage inventory in GSAP / ZOHO / other ERP systems for all transactions.
- Generate stock consumption reports, monthly KPI reports, and variance reports.
- Track and control spare parts costs, ensuring budget compliance.
5. Leadership & Supervision (for Supervisor role)
- Supervise store personnel and contractors, ensuring discipline and compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to store staff on inventory control and safe material handling.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or ITE in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in maintenance stores, warehouse operations, or inventory management.
- Familiarity with spare parts related to rotating equipment, instrumentation, and electrical systems is an advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to documentation and reporting accuracy.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices possession of a forklift license is a plus.
- High level of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team environment.
