Job Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, delivering excellent customer service, leading and developing staff, and ensuring the business meets financial and operational goals. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to create a positive customer experience and a productive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily store operations to ensure efficient service delivery and operational excellence
  • Maintain and enhance customer experience by enforcing high service quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and applicable local laws
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally to uphold customer satisfaction
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff to build a skilled and motivated team
  • Motivate and coach team members to achieve defined performance and service objectives
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support staff development
  • Foster an inclusive and positive workplace culture that promotes teamwork and service orientation
  • Monitor sales performance and implement targeted strategies to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Manage budgets, control operational costs, and implement waste reduction measures
  • Oversee cash handling processes, deposits, and prepare basic financial reports accurately
  • Analyze operational and sales metrics to identify improvement opportunities and adjust strategies
  • Manage inventory levels by placing timely orders and ensuring proper storage and organization
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain supply chain efficiency and prevent losses

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in restaurant, retail, hospitality, salon, or other service industries
  • Proficiency with POS systems and scheduling software to optimize store operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent college coursework is an advantage
