Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Resident Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in enterprise storage provisioning (PowerMax), disaster recovery (DR) solutions, and technical expertise in SRDF (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility). The role involves installing and building storage hardware, managing incidents and changes, and ensuring seamless storage operations.

Key Responsibilities:

. Enterprise Storage Provisioning:

Perform high-level storage provisioning across large-scale enterprise environments, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

. Disaster Recovery (DR) Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain DR strategies, ensuring data availability and system resilience during outages.

. SRDF Technical Expertise:

Configure, manage, and troubleshoot SRDF solutions to support data replication and business continuity.

. Hardware Installation & Build:

Configure, and build enterprise storage hardware solutions as per business requirements.

. Incident & Change Management:

Handle incident resolution and change management processes following ITIL best practices, ensuring minimal service disruption

Qualifications & Skills:

. Experience:

o Minimum 5 years in enterprise storage solutions

o Hands-on experience with SRDF and disaster recovery planning

o SRDF/S, SRDF/A, SRDF Metro

o Linux, OS-related tasks

o Network

. Technical Skills:

o Strong understanding of SAN/NAS storage systems

o Proficiency in hardware configuration and troubleshooting

o Pmax knowledge (SRDF/S, SRDF/A, SRDF/M is preferred)

o Knowledge of Linux and Windows (at minimum, able to handle file permission, file locations, softlink, install and configure software)

o Experience with SCG

o Security-related knowledge is an advantage (e.g., VA fixes, certificate imports)

. Soft Skills:

o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

o Strong communication and collaboration abilities

o Fluency in English, both written and verbal

. Certifications:

o PMAX certified

o Relevant certifications in storage technologies are a plus

. Education:

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
