Job Summary
Lead and manage shipyard steel fabrication, sub-assembly, and block erection processes to ensure timely project delivery while optimizing resources and enforcing safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all shipyard steel fabrication, sub-assembly, and block erection activities to meet project deadlines
- Develop and implement steel production schedules aligned with project objectives to ensure efficient workflow
- Ensure all steelworks comply with Class society standards, client specifications, and QA/QC requirements to maintain quality
- Optimize allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize productivity and reduce waste
- Collaborate with the HSE department to enforce safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture on work sites
- Manage and evaluate the performance of Steel Supervisors and subcontractor workforce to ensure operational effectiveness
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in shipyard management or a relevant role
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Willingness and ability to work full-time in Batam, Indonesia
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Familiarity with AutoCAD software
