Roles & Responsibilities:
- Sand vehicle body panels using both power and hand tools to achieve smooth surfaces
- Perform body filler (putty) application and panel beating to repair dents and surface damages
- Mask non-paintable areas with tape and protective materials before spraying
- Apply primer, base coat, and top coat using a spray gun
- Mix and match paint colors or use pre-mixed paint as required
- Sand between coats and perform necessary touch-ups to ensure a smooth, high-quality finish
- Polish painted surfaces and apply rustproofing and protective sealants
- Occasionally create or apply decals, artwork, or signage to vehicle surfaces
- Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE and safe work practices when working at height
Job Requirements:
- Relevant experience in automotive spray painting and body filler work
- Skilled in spray gun operation, sanding, and surface preparation
- Responsible, hardworking, and physically fit
- Able to work in a paint shop environment (exposure to fumes and dust, with ventilation)
- Must comply with all company safety policies
- Willing to work overtime or assist during urgent repairs when required
