Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Tile Mason / Tiler Team Lead to carry out tiling works and manage a team of up to 5 workers. The role includes tile installation, surface preparation, grouting, repair works, team scheduling, training junior tilers, and coordinating with designers to ensure works are completed according to approved drawings, site requirements, timeline, and company workmanship standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, screeding, patching, or waterproofing where required.
Measure, mark, cut, and lay ceramic, porcelain, stone, marble, granite, or mosaic tiles for floors, walls, ceilings, kitchens, bathrooms, patios, and other areas.
Apply tile adhesive, mortar, cement, grout, and sealant properly for a durable and neat finish.
Ensure tiles are laid with correct alignment, spacing, level, slope, pattern, and finishing.
Repair, replace, or make good cracked, damaged, or uneven tiles where required.
Manage and supervise a tiling team of up to 5 workers on-site.
Plan, arrange, and assign daily work tasks based on project schedule and designer instructions with updating designer Jobsite status via WhatsApp.
Coordinate with designers to understand drawings, site requirements, material selection, work priorities, and project timeline.
Teach, guide, and train junior tilers on proper tiling methods, tile cutting, alignment, grouting, waterproofing care, and finishing standards.
Monitor workmanship quality, productivity, site safety, and cleanliness.
Update designer or project coordinator on work progress, manpower needs, material shortages, and site issues.
Calculate and prepare required materials before starting work.
Ensure all works are completed according to approved layout, company standards, and project schedule.
Requirements
Proven experience as a tile mason, tiler, stone mason, or tiling team leader.
Able to manage, schedule, and lead a small team of workers.
Able to use tiling tools such as tile cutter, grinder, trowel, level, spacer, and measuring tools.
Able to read simple drawings, layout plans, and follow designer instructions.
Good attention to detail, workmanship, and finishing quality.
Physically fit and able to kneel, bend, lift materials, and work on-site for long hours.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
