Job Description

The Regional Cargo Operations and Inland Delivery Specialist oversee and manages all cargo and inland delivery related tasks and processes in the Region, ensuring regional coordination with Area/QSC and towards HQ.

Cargo Operations

  • Responsible for monitoring the regional box-level performance against targets and KPIs, with high focus on cut-off alignments and cargo readiness and monitoring of Area / QSC performance.
  • Support the Cargo Operations CoE on process standardization and future automation of the cargo-related tasks including UAT's.
  • Collaborate and act as an escalation point with all internal and external stakeholders involved in box-related tasks.
  • Using a variety of data sources and expert knowledge, identify challenges, and develop ideas/concepts to successfully tackle the same.
  • Cooperate and communicate with other Regions, Area's, and QSC's, acting as a sparring partner which facilitates best practice sharing.
  • Coordinate activities with many internal stakeholders, including Marine Operations, DG Team and Cargo Control and external stakeholders, including terminals, partners.

Inland Delivery

  • Following up the IDT KPIs shared by Global Inland Center and initiate required actions to align at Area/QSC level.
  • Actively participate / support in the regular check-in calls with Area / QSC and with GIC.
  • Conduct checkbacks and handle process related escalations from Area / QSC.
  • Actively contribute to the rollout and implementation of the new Transport Management System.
  • Cascade new requirements and initiatives from the Global Inland Center to the country level.
  • Track performance and target adherence of the inland delivery teams.
  • Collect and share best practices across Regions and Area, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • University Degree, Diploma in Marine Studies, or a similar qualification or experience in Liner Shipping or Logistics.
  • The position involves regular communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office applications.
  • Positive attitude and inquisitive mindset.
  • Have strong determination for learning and continuous improvement.
  • A team player with an eye for details and strive for efficiency.
