Job Description

• Manage Purchase Orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Handle multiple purchasing requirements concurrently and prioritise work according to project requirements, delivery dates and urgency
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier qualifications and evaluations activities.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities through competitive sourcing, quotation comparison, supplier negotiation and alternative sourcing
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as Project, Finance and Operations, to align procurement activities with business requirements
• Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize sourcing processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures and applicable regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information and preparing reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance and cost savings
• Execute cost saving initiatives and process improvement
  
  

Job Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Engineering background
• 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing or procurement within a Direct and/or Indirect procurement environment. Experience in the DCS, engineering or industrial sector will be an advantage
• Results-oriented, self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, EPC, project-based or industrial procurement will be an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI being an advantage
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
