Who We Are
We are a deep-tech startup transforming air cargo operations for Airlines and Ground Handlers using computer vision, advanced AI algorithms, and robotics. Our products are deployed across diverse geographies - from major international hubs to remote regional airports - each with their own infrastructure, climate, language, and operational realities.
Quality at our company is not just about whether the software works. It is about whether it works for the right people, in the right places, under the right conditions - every single time.
The Role
We are looking for someone rare. You are technically strong enough to read through API responses and microservice logs, but what truly sets you apart is a relentless obsession with experiencing the product as a real user would - and then finding every way it could let them down.
You do not just test what developers build. You challenge assumptions, simulate edge cases that no one thought of, and advocate for the person on the other side of the screen - whether that is a cargo handler in Singapore, a ramp supervisor in Frankfurt, or a warehouse operator in Lagos.
The Three Hats You Will Wear
Technical Detective
You go deep. You read logs, trace API calls, understand how microservices interact, and find defects that only someone who understands the implementation can discover. You are equally comfortable in Postman, a browser dev console, and a terminal.
Product Critic
You use the product obsessively. You explore every corner of every feature - not just the happy path. You ask: What happens if a user does this and then you do exactly that. You find usability failures, confusing flows, and edge cases that feel minor until they happen in a live cargo operation at 2am.
Global Empathy Engineer
You think across borders. You ask how a user in a humid tropical cargo bay experiences the product differently from one in a cold Nordic warehouse. You consider language, screen size, network reliability, skill level, and cultural context - then you design tests that reflect that reality, not just the lab.
What You Will Do
End-to-End Quality Ownership
. Own the full testing lifecycle for new features and releases - from reviewing requirements to validating the product in production.
. Write and execute comprehensive test cases covering functional correctness, usability, edge cases, and real-world failure scenarios.
. Report bugs with precision: what failed, under what condition, what the user experienced, and what the expected behaviour should be.
. Follow defects to complete closure in active collaboration with developers.
Customer-Centric Testing
. Regularly engage with customers across geographies to understand deeply how they use our products in their real operational environments.
. Translate customer insights and field observations into concrete testing strategies and new test scenarios.
. Proactively identify product pain points - not just technical bugs, but usability issues, unintuitive flows, and friction that users endure silently.
. Bethe voice of the customer in every sprint review, release decision, and design discussion.
Global & Cross-Contextual Testing
. Design and execute tests that simulate real-world variability: different languages, device types, network conditions, lighting environments, and operator skill levels.
. Anticipate how a feature that passes all lab tests could fail when deployed in a different country, climate, or operational context.
. Build a testing mindset that accounts for localisation, accessibility, and operational diversity across all target geographies.
. Flag geographic and contextual risks early - before they become field incidents.
Automation & Continuous Quality
. Extend and maintain our automation framework with new test cases for features and regression coverage.
. Embed quality checkpoints at every stage of the SDLC - not just at the end.
. Monitor production system reliability, participate in incident investigations, and turn incidents into new regression tests.
. Continuously raise the bar on quality practices and propose improvements to how we build, test, and release.
What You Bring
Core Experience
. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
. 2 to 5 years of hands-on software QA and testing experience in a product company.
. Proven experience testing web applications and REST APIs in depth.
. Ability to read requirement documents and translate them into structured test plans and comprehensive test cases.
Technical Skills
. Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman or equivalent) and UI automation tools(Selenium, Playwright, or similar).
. Experience with testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, or equivalent.
. Ability to analyse logs and API responses at the microservice integration level.
. Familiarity with source control using Git.
. Coding experience in at least one language - Go, TypeScript, Python or similar is a strong advantage.
The Mindset We Cannot Train
. Obsessive product curiosity - you use products not just to test them, but because you genuinely want to understand them inside and out.
. Empathy for users - you naturally think from the perspective of the person using the software, not the person who built it.
. Global curiosity - you are interested in how people, environments, and working conditions vary, and how that affects how software is experienced.
. Pattern recognition - you spot inconsistencies and this doesn't feel right moments faster than others.
. Relentless follow-through - you do not let a bug you found die in a backlog.
What We Expect
. Self-motivated and intrinsically driven - you do not need to be told to go deeper.
. Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is normal.
. A strong communicator who can articulate product issues clearly to developers, management, and customers alike.
. Motivated to work in a culturally diverse, international team across multiple time zones.
. Someone who takes initiative, contributes ideas, and sees quality as a shared responsibility across the entire company.
. Able to work independently and manage your own testing workload without micromanagement.
What We Offer
. Opportunity to be part of a startup with excellent international growth potential.
. Access to our expert team with deep knowledge in robotics, AI, and software systems.
. Access to our global academic and industrial network, especially in Europe and Singapore.
. Mentoring from our experts in software engineering and business.
If you have ever caught yourself thinking this could be so much better for the user - we want to hear from you.
