About our Production Engineering Team:

Liftoff's Production Engineering team plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product delivery. You'll immerse yourself in a data-rich environment where your expertise will directly influence the enhancement of developer workflows, ensuring that every product and feature we release is not only reliable and efficient but also resonates with scale. It's more than just a job it's about making a tangible impact in a team that values collaboration and innovation without the noise of industry buzzwords.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Liftoff's Supply infrastructure.

  • Partner with senior engineers to build reliable, high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems serving millions of requests per second.

  • Improve tooling and infrastructure to support frequent, high-quality software releases.

  • Participate in code reviews and discussions to maintain an engineering excellence culture, focusing on best practices and risk-driven testing.

  • Work with cutting-edge open-source technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, HAProxy, ArgoCD).

  • Participate in on-call responsibilities (in rotation with the team), learning how to manage and troubleshoot production systems.

  • Follow established processes for day-to-day operations, emphasizing automation and proactive issue resolution.

  • Collaborate with peers and senior team members, sharing learnings and contributing to team growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) with minimum 2yrs of professional experience, or equivalent experience.

  • Hands-on experience with system design principles, data structures, and algorithms, applied in real-world scenarios.

  • Professional experience in programming - Golang preferred.

  • Familiarity with containerized workloads and/or Kubernetes.

  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and implementations.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills enthusiasm for teamwork.

  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and speaking for collaboration with US-based colleagues.

Bonus

  • Experience (e.g., internships, personal projects) in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

  • Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (Postgres, Redis, RocksDB) or messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Spark).

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, especially in a containerized or Kubernetes environment.

  • Understanding of or interest in machine learning workflows and infrastructure.

  • Prior experience building self-serve platforms or improving developer workflows.

  • Familiarity with security standards and protocols.

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following is our salary range for this role in Singapore: 115,000 - 140,000 SGD

Liftoff's compensation strategy includes competitive market rate along with equity and benefits and perks that will give our employees what they need to do their best work. In order to ensure teams are compensated fairly for the work performed, we map out specific levels and take into consideration the cost of labor within each location. Liftoff provides employees a total compensation package of competitive market salaries, equity, health and wellness stipends, medical benefits associated with your country of residence. The base compensation will vary based on location, experience as well as level.
