Software Engineer III - Frontend - React, TypeScript

As part of the Foreign Exchange (FX) Services Technology Team, you'll develop cutting-edge web applications and APIs for internal and external clients across multiple JPMorganChase lines of business. You will also engage with business stakeholders and partner with our UX community to deliver comprehensive, product-focused solutions.

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase as part of the Foreign Exchange (FX) Services Technology Team, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices.

Job responsibilities

. Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

. Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems

. Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development

. Collaborate with various stakeholders using Figma's prototyping to ensure seamless translation from design to development

. Design and test high-quality React UI components and Spring Boot APIs with both internal and open-source libraries

. Drive AI-first software delivery strategy by integration and utilizing AI tools through the development lifecycle to enhance productivity

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

. Formal training or certification on engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience in front-end development with React

. Proficient in TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS

. Experience building high-performance desktop/web applications

. Understanding of the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

. Willingness and ability to understand and contribute across the full application stack

. Passion for interactive design and a clear understanding of UX methodologies

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

. Familiarity with CSS frameworks and component libraries (for example Tailwind CSS, Material UI) and demonstrated ability to implement custom components from library or design system documentation

. Experience with design tools such as Figma

. Exposure to cloud technologies and deployments

. Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, and Maven
