Social Media Specialist, HeyKaki

The SPH Chinese Media Group is seeking a highly motivated Social Media Specialist to join its social media brand HeyKaki.

Responsibilities

. Manage social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Youtube, TikTok), including content uploads, captions, copywriting and day-to-day platform management.

. Stay updated on best practices for various social media platforms and work with the team to experiment with trending formats/hashtags/templates etc.

. Stay updated on trending topics, current affairs and conversations among young people, and identify opportunities to turn them into relevant social content.

. Manage social media communities by responding to comments and engaging with followers in line with moderation policies, while developing and executing strategies to grow followers and drive engagement across social media platforms.

. Track and analyse performance of videos and social media content, and use insights to improve future content.

. Conceptualise and work with the team to create original Chinese content for young adults for social media, including videos, social media posts and memes.

. Support and participate in offline engagement activities and events, including outreach events, facilitating discussions etc.

Requirements

. Diploma/Degree in relevant disciplines at least 1 year of relevant working experience (please include your portfolio if available).

. Effectively bilingual (English & Chinese). Able to converse fluently in Chinese as this role supports a Chinese publication.

. Able to write engaging social media captions and copy, and manage uploads.

. Working knowledge of Google Workspace like Google Sheets and Google Slides.

. Basic skills in creating and editing short-form social content (e.g. CapCut, Canva), including simple videos, memes and social posts.

. Highly creative with a sense of humour and a strong understanding of social media culture.

. Keen interest in the latest trends, youth culture, trending topics and creating entertaining and informative Chinese content for young adults.

. Organised and able to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines.

. Demonstrable knowledge of social media best practices across various platforms, with experience in social media analytics, performance reporting, or using platform insights would be advantageous.

. Familiarity with Singapore's social media, content creator and influencer scene is an advantage.
