Site Manager (Geotechnical / Ground Improvement)

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee and drive day-to-day site operations for ground engineering works. This role requires strong leadership, operational planning, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity in a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily site operations, including coordination of rig activities, workforce deployment, and material planning to achieve project timelines and productivity targets.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to optimise resource utilisation, including manpower, equipment, and overtime planning.
• Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with QA/QC standards, promptly addressing any non-conformances in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Monitor and manage plant and equipment performance, ensuring proper utilisation, preventive maintenance, and timely resolution of breakdowns.
• Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety requirements, including safe work practices and compliance with all HSEQ standards.
• Promote and drive a strong safety culture on site through implementation of safety initiatives, inspections, and continuous awareness programmes.
• Lead, supervise, and develop site supervisors and operational staff through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall site performance.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and statutory standards.

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 6 years of relevant site management experience within construction or ground engineering projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in Deep Soil Mixing (DSM) or similar ground improvement techniques.
• Proven ability to manage large site teams and coordinate multiple work fronts effectively.
• Good knowledge of HSEQ standards and a strong commitment to safety excellence.
• Relevant safety certifications in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
• Experience in other geotechnical or ground improvement methods will be an advantage.
