Assistant Project Manager (Geotechnical / Ground Improvement)

We are seeking a driven Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of ground engineering projects. This role involves close coordination of site operations, cost control, and stakeholder management to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation (manpower, equipment, materials), and site operations.
• Support cost management functions such as budgeting, forecasting, progress claims, and cost tracking.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and project progress.
• Monitor site performance and productivity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures where required.
• Ensure adherence to contractual requirements, including proper management of variation orders and project documentation.
• Identify potential project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
• Support the implementation of HSEQ policies and promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
• Assist in the management of vendors and subcontractors in accordance with procurement and company guidelines.
• Provide guidance and support to site teams, contributing to team development and performance improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
• Practical experience in ground improvement or geotechnical works is preferred.
• Solid understanding of project planning, cost control, and contract administration.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with HSEQ standards and strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Relevant safety certification (e.g. CSCPM, WSH) is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
