We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Test Engineering professional with deep expertise in silicon photonics to lead test development and characterization efforts. The successful candidate will drive test strategy, methodology, and execution for wafer-level and device-level silicon photonics products, ensuring high-quality, high-yield, and scalable test solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead test strategy development and implementation for silicon photonics devices, from wafer-level probing through module/system-level validation.
- Define and optimize test methodologies, automation frameworks, and data analysis techniques for optical, electrical, and mixed-signal parameters.
- Drive continuous improvements in wafer probing, test coverage, and yield optimization in collaboration with wafer fab and process engineering teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians in test engineering practices.
- Interface closely with design, process integration, and product engineering teams to align test requirements with product specifications.
- Analyze large datasets to extract performance metrics, identify root causes of test failures, and propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with external vendors, foundries, and equipment suppliers to evaluate and integrate advanced test and probing technologies.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), including qualification, characterization, and transfer to high-volume manufacturing.
- Prepare and present technical findings, project updates, and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in silicon photonics test engineering, with proven expertise in wafer-level probing and optical/electrical test development.
- Strong understanding of silicon photonics devices (modulators, detectors, waveguides, etc.) and test metrics.
- Hands-on experience with optical test setups, probe stations, automated test equipment (ATE), and scripting/automation (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB).
- Knowledge of wafer fab processes, semiconductor device physics, and yield engineering.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret large datasets for performance and reliability trends.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
